Princeton, West Virginia is a small city that is located in Mercer County. It has a small population of about 6,500 people that call this place home. Princeton is a part of the Bluefield metropolitan area which is a little bigger as it has 107,342 people living there.

Although Princeton is small, it comes with some rich history. Coal mining has been a large part of the community since the late 19th century. When railroads came about, Princeton was sending coal that they produced all the way to the Great Lakes, Baltimore, and the port of Hampton Roads in Virginia. Railways and Coal have been the main industries in this area.

Princeton has been home to some pretty famous people along the way! People such as Jennifer Garner, Sam Elliot, Bob Denver, Rod Thorn, and Ken Kendrick have called this area home.

Although Princeton is small in numbers, it is not small in spirit! You can find people cheering on the Princeton Rays, or going to the Princeton Tigers football games in the fall. With plenty of outdoor adventures awaiting the beautiful hills of West Virginia, this is a great place to visit.
